Grounded in the landscape of Italy’s southern heel, this piece reflects the brilliant, shifting colors of the Adriatic Sea in Salento. The artwork draws its primary inspiration from the area's deep, luminous azure waters—a coast famous for its crystalline clarity and radiant light. Beneath the vivid surface colors lies a deeper nod to Salento’s complex historical narrative, echoing the crossroads of ancient empires that have touched its shores. The resulting painting is a compact but powerful meditation on Mediterranean light, memory, and heritage.
